You may not recognize her or her voice, but you definitely know the work of Canadian singer/songwriter Anjulie.

After growing up with a passion for music, Anjulie went on to record and release her debut self titled album in 2009, before taking off on a full US tour with Jesse McCartney.

In the years that followed, the singer lent her talents to other artists, penning songs for Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Cash Cash, and several others, in addition to touring alongside B.O.B and Shwayze.

And now, the singer is returning to center stage with the release of her brand new single, “FUYL” ahead of her upcoming album, “Loveless Metropolis” – her first full length release in over a decade.

“FUYL,” which is a playful acronym for the phrase “f*ck up your life,” is an upbeat pop track all about the fears that take over when you fall in love- specifically that you are no good for your new partner.

With the cautious line “I might f*ck up your life / really, really f*ck up your life / but I really hope I don’t,” the singer tells her new partner that she thinks she is no good for him- despite how good he makes her feel. And it is very, very catchy.

The track sets the stage for the upcoming releases off of “Loveless Metropolis,” which navigates themes of falling in love and struggling to remain independent while balancing self love vs. outward love.

You can stream “FUYL,” now, and stay tuned to Anjulie’s social media pages to keep up to date on all things “Loveless Metropolis.”
