Iconic Canadian punk rockers Belvedere have not let the pandemic slow them down.

From having their 2020 plans flipped upside down and being forced to rethink the past 12 months, the band got to work writing their sixth studio album and are now ready to share it with fans. Including this week’s new single “Camera Obscura.”

The third track to be released from the upcoming Hindsight Is The Sixth Sense, “Camera Obscura” is a high energy track that explores what happens when we reach the end of our time on Earth.

Using the band’s classic punk rock sound and honest lyricism, the single allows fans to think about their own lives from an outside perspective while simultaneously reminding them that Belvedere is not slowing down anytime soon.

“‘Camera Obscura’ is a story that envisions the end of your life and all the mixed feelings that you could potentially feel right before the final moment,” band member Steve Rawles shares. “Did I do enough? Was I good enough for the people around me? Did I make an impact on the world or did I just simply draw from it. Is there anything after this and if so.. why is there rules around following a deity based on others interpretations? Isn’t being moral without religion enough? A collection of thoughts.”

You can stream “Camera Obscura” out now wherever you stream music and be sure to stay tuned for Hindsight Is The Sixth Sense out May 14.
