Blink-182 are punching up with their new single “Quarantine.”

A fast paced, skate-punk inspired rock track, “Quarantine” is the latest single by iconic pop-punk band Blink-182, and was released this morning.

A short, 2 minute track, “Quarantine” is the band’s first release since December’s “Not Another Christmas Song,” and boy is it a doozy.

With classic fast paced, punk influenced instrumentals, Travis Barker’s incredible drumming, coupled with vocalist Mark Hoppus’ unique voice and Matt Skiba’s recognizable harmonies, the song is both a quintessential Blink track and nothing like the band has released before. It is punchy, raw, and overall- a perfect way to bust out some pent up quarantine related frustrations.

And while Blink is known for humorous and relatable lyrics, “Quarantine” takes the cake for on the nose lyricism- full of lines about the incompetence of our country’s leadership, uncertainty about the future, and the overall hatred towards the year that is 2020.

You can stream the song now, and be sure to check out the full lyrics, listed below.

“Quarantine” Lyrics:

I guess I’m blessed to be so fucking bored

and hiding from this phantom antigen

that wants to send us to the morgue

Quarantine, fuck this disease

I’d rather be on Star Tours or stuck at the DMV

Quarantine, no not for me

I thought that things were fucked up in 2019

Fuck quarantine

Some people hit the bottle, some people hit the books

Some people storm the capitol, some second guess parenthood

It’ll disappear in April, just like a miracle

We don’t need social distance, we don’t need old people

So throw the shop doors open

Save our economy

We don’t need ICU beds or PPE

Quarantine, fuck this disease

I’d rather watch some magic or do press in Germany

Quarantine, no not for me

I thought that things were fucked up in 2019

Fuck quarantine

It’ll disappear in April, just like a miracle

We don’t need social distance, we don’t need old people

So throw the shop doors open

Save our economy

We don’t need ICU beds, we don’t need PPE
