Bring Me The Horizon have released yet another piece of potent political criticism and this time they brought YUNGBLUD along for the ride.

Returning to their heavier roots, Bring Me The Horizon have just released their new single “Obey,” featuring fellow UK based artist YUNGBLUD.

With thinly veiled lyrics about blindly following orders issued by the government, the track calls out the political corruption seen all over the world, something the band has become known for drawing attention to throughout recent tracks.

With a mix of clean vocals and minor screams, the track serves as a nice surprise for fans who have been hoping the band would return to their metalcore sound after their lighter 2019 rock album “Amo.”

With added vocals from rising alternative rock star YUNGBLUD, who is also known for his unique vocal styling, the track has an extra kick to it, and leaves fans amped up and ready to go fight “the man.”

Alongside the single also came a new music video, starring frontman Oli Sykes and YUNGBLUD as large robots who meet in the center of a city amidst a seeming dance battle. Directed, edited and written by Sykes, this video serves as a stark contrast from the song’s promo images which featured photos of the two singers covered in blood, and ends on a unique twist- which you’ll have to see to believe.

“Obey” is Bring Me The Horizon’s second single to be released this year, following “Parasite Eve” earlier this summer.
