A lot of things have changed over the past two years, but our love for Broadside is not one of them.

A band who constantly push themselves to create compelling melodies, introspective lyrics, and undeniably good music, the Virginia natives have once more grabbed our attention with the release of their brand new single, “One Last Time.”

The first original track to be released by the band since their 2020 album Into The Raging Sea, which quickly became a Second Society Report favorite, “One Last Time” is a track about appreciating what you have while you still have it, and not spending too much time dwelling on the past.

Officially released on Tuesday alongside a brand new music video, the track is a pop-rock single that gives fans a taste of what a new Broadside era may sound like. And while this release drops clear hints that a new album may be coming soon, it also reminds us that despite showing increasing maturity and finesse with each new album that comes out- Broadside are still the same band we fell in love with years ago.

Featuring high powered vocals, catchy melodies, and a driving percussion track that keeps listeners feeling the track’s energy, “One Last Time” is bound to get stuck in your head. And after two years of loss and grieving over the way the world used to be, this song could not have come at a better time to remind everyone to take stock in their own lives and to realize that relationships, motivations, and feelings can all change in only a matter of moments.

“I’ve grown older and somehow less emotionally attached to this world,” singer Ollie Baxxter shares of the single. “The song is a message to myself or whoever else; wake up! Remember when you wanted it!? Remember why you wanted it!?”

And though no official announcement of an album or other new music has been made we have a strong feeling that whatever Broadside is cooking up next will be their best work yet, especially if “One Last Time” is only the beginning.
