“Colder” is the newest single from electro-pop artist CAPPA. The track is lush and danceable, and reflects on the emptiness at the end of a relationship with someone truly irreplaceable. 

CAPPA is the moniker of Carla Cappa, whose career emerged in Nashville with “Hush,” the 2015 single which first showed off her distinctive flirty, poppy style. Since then, CAPPA’s work has been heard in commercials for Victoria’s Secret and Under Armor, as well as in TV shows like Riverdale and Selling Sunset.

While her collaborative works with artists like SNBRN, TELYkast are a testament to her vocal and stylistic flexibility, “Colder” highlights CAPPA’s solo abilities. 

“Colder” is the next in a wave of singles leading up to a new EP. With her sugary vocals, honest, vulnerable lyrics, and penchant for glittery synths, CAPPA aligns herself with pop greats like Carly Rae Jepsen, while still carving out a unique place for herself. Though it may be a while before we hear “Colder” in the dancehall setting it deserves, you can stream it for yourself now.
