Grayscale have announced a lineup change that involves the removal of drummer Nick Veno from the band.

The news broke late Saturday night that the band’s drummer and founding member, Nicholas Veno, would no longer be a member of the Philadelphia pop-punk group due to “creative differences.”

This news comes two weeks into the Living Proof Tour, where the band is on the road supporting State Champs. According to the band’s statement on Instagram, Veno is going to be finishing out the tour, which ends March 29th, in order to complete his obligations to the band.

The statement also said that more information would be released on Monday, March 18th.

While everyone lies in wait, Grayscale fans have taken to social media to share their feelings on the band’s update.

Tour mates Ryan Scott Graham and Tyler Szalkowski of State Champs have also taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, leading many fans to believe that the band is playing a “prank.”

UPDATE 12:10am: Veno has taken to social media to update his Instagram and Twitter bios to read “Former Drummer in Grayscale,” in addition to tweeting his own brief statement.

UPDATE 9:29am: After almost 10 hours since the band’s announcement, fans are beginning to speculate that not only is the split a joke, but that it is for a music video.

This news comes as one fan supposedly leaked the video’s plot on twitter.

“In the video Nick leaves the band due to creative differences at the beginning,” one Twitter user shares in a direct message. “That’s how it starts.”

“How does she know that?” another fan questions.

“Because she’s in [the video].”

Updates to follow.
