“One day the world is gonna respect us” raps American-Korean artist Doctor Yizzle

LA-based artist Doctor Yizzle does it all – arranging, producing, writing, engineering, you name it! He had his work cut out for him but what I love about hip-hop is that it resonates with people in a way that no other genre does. It’s about the message and that’s what hooks you.

Doctor Yizzle is carving out his space and pushing for representation. In his latest single “i keep calling” he actively promotes self-belief with lyrics such as “Intuition telling me I belong on a star, come in fruition”

The acknowledgement that being different makes you stronger is also a theme in his music. He says it best in an interview with Chyenne Tatum:

“No matter who you are or what you look like, you can do anything in this world as long as you believe in yourself. Just block out the outside noise, and I promise you can do anything—just do what you love no matter what.”
