This is a little different to tracks that I usually review but the name of the band and all the unlikely elements colliding sparked my curiosity and I just had to give it a listen!
There are so many eclectic things about Kandemic that I like. “2020” is their first single off an album that the four musicians worked on during the numerous lockdowns that plagued the world last year and for many of us, continue to dampen our spirits. With band members from Helsinki, Milan, Venice and Rome, they effortlessly switch between English and Italian in their songs.
The production team consists of Killabase, Zar Acoustic, J.P. Kallio and Nik Martken. They were brought together by a love of music and being bored in the house! I wouldn’t have thought that all these sounds could fuse to create something so interesting. Kudos to Kandemic – for making the most out of 2020 and giving us something fresh to enjoy!
The single dropped today, on the 28th of March 2021, it’s a super full moon and they’ll be dropping a new single with every full moon this year! Follow them on their socials below:
