There may be just one week until the release of Halsey’s third studio album, but she is giving fans a sneak peak at yet another song.

“You Should Be Sad” dropped earlier this morning alongside a killer music video featuring several nods to country star Shania Twain and fellow pop star Lady Gaga.

The track, which strays from the singer’s typical pop-sound by adding a bit of a country twang behind her emotional lyrics, is the sixth song to be released ahead of “Manic” – which drops Friday the 17th.

And while the song’s lyrics such as “I’m so glad I never ever had a baby with you / because you can’t love something unless there’s something in it for you,” have caused some fans to flood the singer’s comments with questions about who the song is about, the video’s wardrobe has a whole other side of Halsey’s fandom freaking out.

Throughout the video Halsey changes outfits several times, paying homage to country queen Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman,” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much” videos, as well as Carrie Underwood in “Cry Pretty,” Christina Aguilera in “Dirrty,” and Lady Gaga.

You can watch the video for “You Should Be Sad” now, and be sure to pre-order “Manic,” out next Friday.
