Halsey has just announced her latest social justice and advocacy initiative and fans are HYPED.

In a post earlier this evening the singer announced the creation of the Black Creators Fund, a social media driven project to help amplify art made by the Black community.

“We are launching a fund to help black creators and amplify their art, voice and perspective,” Halsey wrote. “In addition to funds, the artists will be promoted on my socials to help launch their platforms and we will help provide resources, information and points of contact for as many people as we can.”

In order for creators to become part of the fund, all they have to do is share their work with the hashtag #BLACKCREATORSFUND- either via Instagram, Twitter.

As for how non-black fans can get involved or donate, the singer shares that the project will be fully funded by herself and her team, so supporters should be sure to retweet their favorite creators and tag the designated hashtag in their posts.

While few other details are currently known, the first recipients will be announced June 18th, along with the launch of the project’s website.

You can read the full announcement posts below, and be sure to stay up to date on Halsey’s Twitter for future updates and the first participants.

We for sure cannot wait to see this project unfold and discover hundreds of new creators to follow.
