Described as “One of the most promising acts to come out of the pandemic” by Lyrical Lemonade, Boston native, Khamari is causing waves in the music industry with his smooth vocals and R&B flair.

His single “Doctor, My Eyes” released in January reminds me a little of Frank Ocean but what really hooked me were the lyrics. His ability to express how many of us feel lost in our 20s is captured in this track and resonated with me more than other songs have in a while. It reminded me that feeling lost and alone is a universal experience, with lyrics such as “Most of the time I feel too much So I try not to feel at all,” and “Ain’t these supposed to be my glory days?”

I think we can all take something from this track including Khamari’s grandad’s advice that “To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.”

The new song is produced by Khamari, Trackside and Johan Lenox and follows the successful release of his debut EP Eldorado that took listeners through his personal struggles with relationships, life and being an artist.

Listen to the track below and follow him on his socials. He is definitely one to watch!
