Chicago MC, Lil Durk, is showing no signs of slowing down in 2020. With features on a string of hits this year including Drake’s summer hit “Laugh Now Cry Later,” the time is right for him to stamp his authority on the rap game.

“Stay Down” was released at the end of October and is the lead single off his forthcoming album, The Voice, dropping later this year. The track is produced by Metro Boomin and DY, and finds the trio of Lil Durk, 6LACK and Young Thug melancholically waxing on love and loyalty. The three make it known that ladies must be loyal in order to earn their time and energy.

Durk rhymes seamless over the mellow track while 6LACK adds his signature sound in a catchy chorus with Young Thug giving it his unique charm.

2020 has seen Lil Durk’s career move in an upward trajectory with his Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 mixtape debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200, marking his highest-charting project to date. For an artist that has been unfairly underrated, Lil Durk is bound to stay on the mainstream radar and fans can anticipate his new album any time now. Until then, enjoy the video for “Stay Down”
