Juliet Simms is no more. Make way for Lilith Czar.

The alternative rock singer rebranded herself earlier this year after making her social media debut as Lilith Czar in February. Teasing fans with new video clips and a rebirth storyline, the singer then made her official appearance as Czar with the release of her first track of the year “King.” And now, fresh off the release of season 1 of Paradise City, the multi talented star is giving fans the second glimpse into Lilith Czar’s life with her new track “Lola.”

Released this morning, “Lola” is no April Fool’s Joke.

Featuring Czar’s incredible vocal range and emotional grit, the track recounts the experience of feeling lost and needing to find your way “back home” before getting yourself in too deep.

Using Czar’s classically inspired rock and roll sound- which closely resembles Simms’ past work- “Lola” takes inspiration from the singer’s own relationship with the fast paced world of music, substance abuse, and battling with your own inner demons.

And accompanied by a music video that showcases both Czar serenading the camera surrounded by ornate settings and clips of her character Sheva in Paradise City, “Lola”‘s emotions are heightened as listener’s are able to visualize the story the lyrics share.

“I wrote this song and music video treatment to help tell the story about the night I asked myself to save my own life. To come take me home. I never knew quite how to tell this story until I found Lola,” Czar shared. “I think this why I am so connected to the character Sheva on Paradise City. I wasn’t just playing a role – I was re-living it. Sheva for me has the drive, fire and passion of Lola but the heartbreak and rage of Juliet.”

“Lola is my child self and first alter ego, and after letting her back in I can say that years of sobriety have truly changed me. I’ve only lived a short time on this earth, but have accumulated enough memories, experiences, turmoil, redemption, and salvation to fill many lives. Lola came to me through the dark and told me “you can and you will” and that’s how she saved my world. And from the shedded past – Lilith Czar would rise.”

You can stream both “King” and “Lola,” out now wherever you stream music.
