Memphis-native, Moneybagg Yo has a whole lot to celebrate this year. His fourth full-length album, A Gangsta’s Pain, hit the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. To make his first No.1 even sweeter, the album made a return to the top position a couple of weeks after its release. It is the longest running No.1 hip-hop album on the Billboard 200 this year.
So what does one do when with all that success? Celebrate! And that’s exactly what he does in his new video, “A Gangsta’s Pain.”
Throughout the track and video, the multi platinum recording artist showcases his versatility and opens up on his life struggles so far. Produced by Twysted Genius and JAY SCALEZ and directed by BenMarc, Moneybagg Yo shows us what life is like when you “make it.”
The video is shot in a tropical paradise – a lavish house overlooking clear water, blue skies, a fancy yacht, lots of bling and money thrown around as he raps: “I’m cool with waiting a lil longer for something I deserve” and “Other days when I was overlooked.”
Moneybagg Yo certainly deserves the success coming his way. His consistency and continuous improvement will garner him more fans as he rides the wave and one thing is for sure – he won’t be overlooked again!
