IZZA’s bio on Instagram reads “people pleaser turned bad b!tch pop singer.” Usually, musicianship and people pleasing go hand in hand, since attracting an audience is the only way to make it as an artist, but IZZA seems confident in her abilities to get things done her way. No outside interference, no pandering for likes or streams… none of that. In one of the opening lines of new song, “Love Bracelets,” she stakes her claim as the queen of LA, and proceeds to sing about how she has too many guys hitting her up. Visit her IG page and you’ll see why. A complete bombshell, seemingly all natural, who would turn heads anywhere in the world.

“Love Bracelets” is, essentially, an uptempo “7 Rings,” except without the whole “buying rings for all of my bitches” thing. IZZA’s money is hers and hers alone, and she’s going to spend it when and how she wants to; “And I don’t give a damn about what you think, yeah yeah. I’m just busy doing me.”

Some will have less-than-favorable reactions to, God forbid, a woman glamorizing excessive spending habits, but as Ariana Grande once asked, “And what about it?”

The track is a club-ready banger with Travis Scott-esque adlibs thrown in the verses, accentuating the pop-trap sound she’s going for. She was completely drowned out by the production on previous releases like “Shut Up!” and “Too Hot,” the former of which had almost no defined song structure or recognizable melody, and “God of Los Angeles” is, seemingly, a copycat attempt at Halsey’s “Badlands” era sound, but she finally cracked the code with “Love Bracelets.” The fiery, braggadocio attitude is still evident, but you really get to see some of the chinks in the armor as she sings about wanting to escape and focus on loving herself; “Imma grab the wraith and race. Grab the wraith, be on my way to my new rich bitch estate. Cause I’d rather be far away.”

Maybe this song has more in common with “7 Rings” than previously thought. Is 2 Chainz available for a feature on the remix?
