PVRIS are once more here to save 2020 with the release of a brand new song.

And while we are true believers that PVRIS can do no wrong, their new single “Gimme a Minute,” is genuinely the exact Friday pick-me-up we needed after another long week of quarantine.

The second single off of their upcoming album “Use Me,” which is set to drop July 10th, “Gimme a Minute,” is sonically an entirely different experience than the album’s first single “Dead Weight.”

While both tracks feature similar elements, making them cohesive counterparts, “Gimme a Minute” is much more electronic and dance-y, featuring heavy use of synthesizers, electric guitar and a very catchy but steady drum beat.

And while PVRIS are typically referred to as an alternative or indie band, despite the band’s disagreement, this new single as well as all previews of their upcoming release prove that those labels don’t quite fit anymore.

In fact, twitter user nolagvnn put it best, saying “PVRIS literally are their own sub genre of music. Like every single PVRIS song is so distinctively PVRIS.”
