Fresh off Selena Gomez’s recent release of “De Una Vez,” her first all Spanish single in nearly a decade, the pop star has collaborated with Rauw Alejandro and Tainy for another single, “Baila Conmigo.”

It was announced via social media that both songs will be included in Gomez’s first Spanish album, Revelación set to release March 12th. Revelación is currently available for Pre-Order and a special edition CD + Poster will be available at Target.

Unlike “De Una Vez,” “Baila Conmigo” was actually anticipated by the fans. The title of the song was hinted/revealed at the end of the music video for “De Una Vez.” The music video for “Baila Conmigo” released on November 28th at midnight and has already surpassed 16 million views. The song has charted on ITunes (reaching #1 in several countries) and was streamed over 5 million times during its first two days on Spotify.

“Baila Conmigo” is an upbeat, pop song all about escapism, attraction, and movement. It already has its own dance challenge on social media if that’s any indication of just how intense and intoxicating the beat and lyrics are.

“Baila Conmigo” really encourages throwing inhibition out the window in favor of the unknown and exploring our connections to each other. Maybe things will work out great or maybe you’ll never see each other again; all possibilities in the delicate dance that is our lives.

Baila Conmigo definitely is a change of tone from Gomez’s other recent singles and collabs. Gomez and Tainy last worked together a year ago on “I Can’t Get Enough” and based on their most recent success will hopefully continue to work together in the future. Two years ago, she collabed with Dj Snake, Ozuna and Cardi B on “Taki Taki.” Her most recent collabs were with Trevor Daniel on “Past Life” and “Ice Cream” with BlackPink.

The music video for “Baila Conmigo” is also very different from past videos because Gomez isn’t the main focus. The video actually focuses on a young couple trying to connect with each other.  The director uses some great point of view shots, specifically when the boy is on the fishing boat. In that same scene, there is also a cool moment when he turns the dial on his radio, which affects the audio of the music video as if we (the audience) are also listening to the song on his radio. The music video was shot in LA, Miami and on location in Brazil. Gomez does make an appearance in the video the girl is watching her perform through a TV and tries to copy the dance she is doing. There is word on social media that an alternative version of the music video featuring Gomez will be released soon.

Overall, “Baila Conmigo” is definitely worth checking out and elevates the anticipation for Revelación. Both singles are available everywhere now, and you can buy and stream wherever you get your music.

New merchandize for “Baila Conmigo,” as well as Revelación is available in the official Selena Gomez shop. And for more SelGo content, Season 2 of “Selena + Chef “ just released on HBO Max. Get ready Selenators, there’s plenty more on the way!
