Sia Shells and Ekelle are reminding fans that they are all capable of magic this week with the release of their new single “Magic Girl.”

An uplifting anthem of empowerment for all who listen, “Magic Girl” is a lo-fi, anime-inspired track that reminds listener’s that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

Based on the anime concept of “magical girls,” or girls who possess magical powers that help them with general life success and friendship, “Magic Girl” is at it’s core a fun song that makes you want to dance while also subtly reminding you of your self worth.

And featuring two unique, strong vocalists, the song is the perfect one to throw on in order to get yourself back in a positive mindset and ready to face whatever may lie ahead.

“Magical Girl is a sub-genre of anime where young girls have these amazing powers to solve their problems and get through life, and you’ll hear adorable anime inspired loops and samples throughout the song,” Sia Shells shares. “Magical Girls usually have a badass squad to help them through the really tough bits, like Sailor Moon and the other scouts. [“Magic Girl” is] an ode to girl power and a testament to our friendship. Ekelle and I are definitely there for each other no matter what.”
