Concert promoters Live Nation broke the internet this afternoon with the announcement of the When We Were Young Festival- a single day, 12 hour event that features over 50 of the industry’s most famed emo bands.

With headliners such as My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon and Avril Lavigne leading the pack alongside pop-punk heavy hitters Neck Deep, State Champs, The Wonder Years and alt-rock nostalgia acts AFI, The Used, and Taking Back Sunday (to name just a handful) – the festival’s announcement quickly took over our social media feeds.

And while the event has been overwhelmingly greeted with tons of excitement- albeit coupled with anxieties and concerns about the logistics of holding such a large event in the span of just one day, millennial emo have also taken to Twitter to share some of their most unfiltered emo thoughts.

So instead of just sharing our unfiltered thoughts, we’ve compiled some of the best (read: funniest) WWWY Tweets to help you get a grasp on just how the scene is taking this huge win.
