Young Culture are FINALLY releasing an album, and we could not be more exited.

After teasing fans over the past 48 hours with different hints at a band “breakup,” the band finally broke their collective silence and announced the release of their brand new single “Better Off As Friends,” in addition to sharing some much anticipated album news.

Released at midnight alongside a spontaneous Young Culture zoom call for fans who wanted the full single release experience, “Better Off As Friends” is the third single to be released by the New York natives this year.

Lyrically, the track documents the feelings that come with the end of a relationship- specifically one that probably shouldn’t have happened to begin with. And in classic Young Culture fashion, the track features a heavy but groovy guitar presence along with a catchy drum beat that is sure to get all fans on their feet and ready to dance.

But the song didn’t come out on it’s own. The band also released a brand new music video starring their friend and photographer Danny DeRusso as their “director,” that is full of physical comedy and playfulness.

As for the biggest news of the day- the new album- the band announced that they will be releasing their first full length on October 16th.

A self titled release, the album will include previous singles “Holiday in Vegas,” “I’ll Be There” and “Better off as Friends,” in addition to 7 new songs.
