Alternative punk star YUNGBLUD is giving fans a look behind his latest music video in the new edition of VEVO Footnotes.
Taking viewers through his music video for “acting like that” featuring Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker, the new video gives fans a bit of insight into how the music video and the track came to be.
Kicking the series off with some facts about the logistics of the video itself- specifically how the trio were able to share the screen despite being an ocean apart, YUNGBLUD begins by explaining how the single became an apocalyptic anthem.
“Me, Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker are on other sides of the world in the middle of a global pandemic so how the hell do we do a video that incorporates the three of us, yet gives us an excuse to be apart? I was like, ‘a zombie apocalypse – that’s literally it,’” the singer shared. “It’s infecting the UK and it’s infecting America. It’s kind of a weird parody of coronavirus. An infection we’re all fighting against right now.”
YUNGBLUD also shares how he met both MGK and Barker and what it’s like to write a song with them, as well as some more notes about what inspires his songwriting process.
