After a week of cryptic tweets relating to many staple scene songs, As It Is have finally released their newest single “I MISS 2003.”

“I MISS 2003” honors many big scene names from New Found Glory, Paramore, The Starting Line, and many more. In fact the band has stated 13 bands were referenced in this track, some are easier to spot than others – either referencing the band itself, one of their songs, or a specific lyric.

While many of these songs referenced were not released in the year 2003, the band explains in the tweet that “2003 is as much of a mindset than a year”. The song is their love letter to the scene that shaped them and inspired them.

The music video feels very reminiscent of early 2000’s pop punk music videos, which continues the ongoing theme of paying tribute to the scene.

Along with this new single, the band also announced their 4th studio album I Went to Hell and Back, which is set to be released on February 4, 2022 through Fearless Records.

The tracklist features four other previously released singles “IDGAF”, “Lie to Me” “ILY, HOW ARE YOU” and “IDC, I CAN’T TAKE IT.”

You can stream all of these new singles, out now, and be sure to stay tuned for the release of I Went to Hell and Back, coming early next year.
