Crys Matthews is encouraging listener’s to create “good trouble,” this week with the release of her new single “Call Them In.”

Inspired by the legendary John Lewis and his famous quote “never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble,” Matthews penned “Call Them In” as an ode to advocacy and creating change for the betterment of society.

Released on what would have been John Lewis’ 81st birthday, the single is a folk-tinged battle cry, showcasing Matthew’s penchant for activism as well as her songwriting abilities and warm vocal styling.

Encouraging listeners to stand up for their beliefs, the track pays homage to Lewis and other ‘Changemaking’ activists, repeating the phrase “call them out but then call them in,” as a reminder that the goal of activism is not to further divide but instead to unite people.

A song of hope in a time of uncertainty, “Call Them In” is a much needed ray of sunshine in a never ending battle against injustice.

“Call Them In” is the second single to be released off of Matthew’s upcoming album Changemakers, set to debut March 26th.
