The Ones You Forgot are just getting warmed up.

Making their return to the studio after two years this past July with their single “Something For Me,” the New Jersey natives are now back and ready to continue breaking down mental health barriers with the release of their new single “Desensitized.”

A quintet known for writing relatable and honest lyrics about every day struggles, including battles with mental illness, The Ones You Forgot are not an act you want to miss out on, and “Desensitized” proves why.

Channeling their pop punk roots to the fullest extent with an ever-present yet catchy guitar and pulsing percussion, the new single examines the process of acknowledging your mental health status and working towards healing- in whatever form that may be.

Calling out several common yet detrimental experiences that are frequently coupled with mental illness, including the idea of going through the motions of life without actually feeling anything and also not wanting to be awake, “Desensitized” holds nothing back.

“Do you know what it’s like to pretend that you’re fine? Come to realize I don’t feel like I’m alive.”

“Desensitized” – The ONES YOU FORGOT

Making the experience of battling your inner thoughts feel natural and helping to de-stigmatize the conversation around mental health, the track and the band both take a huge step forward in encouraging honest conversations about inner thoughts and feelings.

And with a powerhouse like Jenna Bruno helping the band stand out from similar acts through her distinct voice and vocal control, The Ones You Forgot are positively just beginning their launch to mainstream notoriety and we cannot wait to watch.
